I am very excited to be working with the students this year.  We will be focusing on a Reader's and Writer's Workshop model. 

It is expected that every student comes to class prepared every day.

Every student is required to have an independent reading novel each day in class.   We will be reading daily.

We have begun our focus on poetry.  Students are writing their own poems as part of a performance task.  We have also been incorportaing CMT practice into our units.

In March, we will begin focusing on memoirs.  Students will be writing their own life stories.
