Welcome to Mrs. Schneider's Language Arts Page. Don't forget to check the Kingfishers Homework Page for your most recent assignments. I am very excited to be working with the students this year. We will be focusing on a Reader's and Writer's Workshop model. It is expected that every student comes to class prepared every day. Every student is required to have an independent reading novel each day in class. We will be reading daily. In January, we will be concluding our study of mysteries with a focus on real unsolved mysteries in the world. We will be reading a variety of articles and taking notes. We will then use these notes to write a researched persuasive essay. Toward the end of the month we will begin our study of poetry.
