               ALL SAINTS REPORT DUE OCTOBER 30, 2008

November 1st is All Saints Day.  On this day we celebrate the relationship we share with all the holy men and women who have gone before us in the faith and who live now with God in heaven.

We are all saints with a small "s".  We are called to serve God in many different ways by using the talents God has given us.  Every saint felt hurt, lonely and frightened at times, just as we do.  They sometimes failed to do God's will but they knew that God loved them.  They were sorry for their sins and kept trusting in God's love.  On the feast of All Saints, we ask the Saints in heaven to help us serve God faithfully until death.

This assignment is for all students in Jr. High Religion (6th, 7th and 8th Grades).

Students can chose any saint because of their name, birthday, feast day, etc.  The report can be handwritten, typed or placed on Poster Board.  We will display  the reports throughout the school.  Saints books are available in the classroom, in Religion Books, and of course, online at FindingGod.com.

  The report should include all of the following:

  1. Where and when the saint lived;
  2. One interesting event in the saint's life;
  3. Several ways the saint used his/her talens to serve God;
  4. What day do we celebrate the Feast Day;
  5. Why did you select this saint; and
  6. Include a picture or illustration of the saint.
