Teacher Work Day- No School- 1/27 Half-Day- 2/2 *Upcoming Tests* Greece & Rome(Social Studies)- week of January 19th Resources(Science)- week of January 26th Measurement(Math)- week of January 26th Virginia SOL review *What we are learning* Math- Symmetry, congruent vs. similar Social Studies- Greece & Rome, what is a contribution? We will begin Mali. Science- We are learning about pollution, conservation, interdependency, and natural disasters. Reading- We are reading mysteries and learning about text-to-self connections. We will begin visualization. Writing- homophones, friendly letter~to our pen-pals!! We will continue writing paragraphs using a four-square. *For Your Information* Word Study is on Fridays Quizzes will be every other week. Students will bring home spelling lists in word study notebooks. Students are to complete 2 homework assignments a week. We are in need of pens, snacks for the classroom, index cards, and white construction paper :) |
