Second Grade News Newsletter from October 30 It was great to see so many parents in chapel on Wednesday, and I was very proud of the terrific job the second graders did leading the worship service. I want to say a big thank you to all of the second grade moms for the cash gift that was given to me to be used for the classroom. It is always fun to find new activities and supplies for the children. We have several more students that have completed the states and capitals challenge. Congratulations to John, Lauren, Mary Katherine, Jackson, Claire, Matthew, and Jenna. Keep up the good work! Next week we will begin working on a unit about the Pilgrims and the first Thanksgiving. We will culminate the unit with a play on Friday, November 20 at 2:45 in the classroom so put the date on your calendars. Several of the children are now doing a lot of their work in cursive. All of them are doing a great job, and they seem to really enjoy learning the letters. Next Friday is a Spirit Dress Day. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the extra hour!
