Dear Parents:

The unit on” Firefighters and Fire Safety and the Letter Ff “was great!!!!!!!
The Dallas Fire Department was unable to come this week but we have rescheduled for next Tuesday. They showed us their truck and the equipment they use to fight fires. The children got to climb inside the fire truck. We all practiced “Stop, Drop, and Roll”, too. This week the children made fire hats and painted using fall colors. They also did some sorting and counting.
Next week the unit will be “Guinea Pigs, Grocery Stores and the Letter G.” Parents, please bring in empty cereal boxes, empty canned goods, and frozen food containers. Please make sure all empty containers are clean and dry. Anything that will help transform our dramatic play center into a grocery store is welcome. We need all of these items by Monday, October 13th when you drop off your child.
Parent conferences are Friday, October 17, don’t forget to call the office to schedule your conference time..
This week’s Chapel donation is canned fruit.
