Dear Parents,

        This week we have been exploring colors.  We mixed blue and yellow, yellow and red, and red and blue in varying amounts to make shades of color.  The children used the orange shades to paint their own pumpkins which they had drawn for the pumpkin patch.

They placed food into color groups and enjoyed a colorful healthy morning snack.

The children listened to our “color” stories which were Mouse Paint, Color Dance, Mr. Rabbit and the Lovely Present, and Little Blue and Little Yellow.

Please remember there will be no school on Friday as it is Parent/Teacher conferences. However, Kids Klub will be open.

Next week our weekly unit will be Autumn and trees.  Our Bible unit will be Samuel .  The children will discover trees outside and measure around their trunks with yarn.   They will make tree shaped books, painting the covers with ridges rolling pins.  We will also make paper towel trees.

Hopefully the weather will co-operate so we can play “Autumn” games outside and go on discovery walks.
