It's hard to believe that we are beginning the 4th quarter! We are currently studying French-speaking Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa. We are studying the culture of this country and food, both there and in France. The students will be able to talk about the foods and beverages that they consume "en français"! The students will be designing their own African masks along with explaining their purpose. On April 17th, we will be taking part in an African drumming workshop facilitated by African drum master, Dennis Cotton of South Windsor. It is one of the highlights of our year! We will finish the year in Provence, in the south of France. The students are successfully adding to their base of knowledge in French and continually practicing in the 4 areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Please visit the following websites: |
