Language Arts: We continuing our unit, “Neighborhood News.”  The theme is “Community Workers.” The skills we are covering are ick and ack word families, inferring  as you read, fluency in reading and fairy tales.

High Frequency Words:can’t  book  don’t  thing  buy  Vocabulary Words:  involve  deliver  support

Math:  We are still working in our yellow Math books. This week we are working on SUBTRACTION. The students will be bringing home their yellow Math practice workbook nightly with an assigned page each night.

Writing/ Language/Grammar:  Writing sentences about someone you know.

Spelling:  Test Friday on the following words.

bake   late   wave   keep   bee   make   ate   came   take   of

Phonics:   words with /oo/ and words with /ar/

Social Living: Community helpers.

*Report is due Thursday.

Art:  Vocal Music

*Please continue to practice math facts. We are now on subtraction. Please practice with your child at home.

*Thursday is Precious Moments. A note was sent home last week. The students will be dressing as a community helper and reading their report. If your child is dressing as their helper, please send their costume/props in their booksack. They will change into their costume before Precious Moments.  We hope that all parents will be able to join us at 2:30 in our classroom.

*Nov. 11^th – The students do not have school.
