Dear Parents,
I have some exciting but bittersweet news.  I have been blessed with an itinerant assistant principal position at Truman Montessori School and Prairie Elementary School.  I found out Friday, but legally, I could not say anything until I was officially appointed at the school board meeting last night.  I will be here until Friday.  Cry Stephanie Rogers will be taking my place.  You will receive a letter with more information from the office.  I know that you will make Ms. Rogers feel welcomed, just as you did for me.  I will continue to work very closely with her to ease the transition for her and your children as much as possible.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for EVERYTHING that you have done to help me.  Even though it's been a short time, I have enjoyed working with all of you and your children.  This is very emotional for me.  I've been at this school since it opened in 2002.  The people and students that I work with are like family to me.  It's really hard to say good bye, even though my journey ahead is such a rewarding one.  Please let me know if there is ever anything I can do to help you in any way.  Smile

I've added a handwriting poems file.  These are the phrases/poems that we learn to correctly form our letters.  The lowercase phrases/poems match our phonics series.  When we begin the second cycle of the alphabet, we will use a different set of poems to learn capital letter formation.  The key is to get the children to form letters from top to bottom, not bottom to top.  Wink
