11/25 - Pep Rally and End of Trimester - We will be operating on an afternoon assembly schedule.

11/26 - 11/28 Thanksgiving Holiday - Have a wonderful break!

Second trimester begins: I will begin the trimester with three grades. The friendly letters and Thankful papers that the children wrote at the very end of the first trimester and they will be having a notebook check and collection. Once I have completed the check and collection the children will recieve a new table to contents and we will start over fresh. This is a great opportunity to start out the trimester ORGANIZED.

12/11 - Early Release

12/16 - Band Concert

12/17 - 6th grade Renaissance Fair

12/18 - 7:00 Parent Informational Meeting - Magnet Phase out (Auditorium)

After grading and regrading our last grammar quiz I decided to just drop that grade. Apparently I set the bar just a little to high so I am going to go back and do a little reteaching after the break and then we can try it again. A lot of students missed a lot of the diagraming because they did not know their helping and linking verbs. I would like to encourage all of my students to revisit their lists during the holiday so they will be fresh and ready to go when we get back.

11/24 - Monday - Peer edit Thankful papers. Final draft will be due tomorrow. Final draft should be hand written in blue or black ink or typed in a 12 point font. The entire writing process should be represented at the time that the paper is turned in: Final draft on top, edited rough draft directly underneath, filled out graphic organizer next and brainstorming on the bottom.

Homework: Paper due tomorrow.

11/25  - Tuesday - Collect Thankful Papers. This will be our Media Center day so we will meet and dismiss from the Media Center. We will also be running on an afternoon assembly schedule so we will have shortened periods. There will be a whole school pep rally at the very end of the day.

11/26 - 11/28 - Thanksgiving Break :) - STUDY Those linking and helping verbs - Test when you get back from break.
