The vocabulary test is next week.

We are also reviewing genre types.

We are working with irregular verbs.  There is a short quiz Friday.

Students are going to look in depth at each stage of the writing process.  Brainstorming, Rough Draft, Editing and Revisions, Final Draft and Publishing.

Phonics

The rules for this week are for spelling the /aw/ sound.

aw and au:   aw is used at the end of a word or in the middle if the word ends in a single [n] or [l] like pawn, lawn, crawl, and shawl

au is used in the middle of words like cause

Social Living

We are starting science this week!  We will be measuring temperature by using Fahrenheit and Celsius thermometers and compare the results.  Students will become familiar with boiling, freezing and room temperature for both units of measurements.  We will also classify and compare objects based on similar properties.  The test is Friday.
