Dear Parents,
A good book can touch our lives like a good friend. Within its pages are words and characters that can inspire us to achieve our highest gosls. We can turn to it for companionship, recreation, comfort, and guidance. It is gives us a cherished story to hold in our hearts forever.
Our class will be reading "Hoot" this month. Check out our weekly blog (Mrs. Williams' Class Blog) on the school library website or through the class blogmeister link located on this page. Our class blog will begin this Monday, September 26.

Using RAP (Restate the question, Answer it, Prove your answer) when answering a question,

Guided Reading : students should be reading their assigned pages. Guided Reading books and folders must be returned to school everyday. Please make sure that students are also reading their AR Books and they are required to take at least 2 AR test per week. AR goals can be view from Home Connected on our school website under the library section.
FLUENCY PASSAGE: Joe Louis---Please complete the questions and the summary. The fluency passage must be returned everyday.
Students have new A.R. goal points and new ZPD levels for checking out A.R. books. Please check your students A.R. folders for this information. Students must take at least 1A.R. test per week.

Comments: Workbook fees are due---$20.00/ Art fee are due---$10.00 (Fees must be paid or installments must be made before students can attend . Installments can be made throughout the school year.
Parents as a reminder, early check outs and tardies do count against your childs attendance. Please make sure if your child is absence or checks out early for a doctor or dentists appointment that an excuse is brought to class the next day. Read every night to your child. Please sign agenda books and check for homework assignment.
Fluency Passage, Daily Language and
Daily Math sheets should be reviewed at home and returned to every day in order for the students to complete the following day's work. A quiz will be given on Friday based on the activities that were done during the week.
Problem Solving Sheet is to be done nightly and returned to school each day. Parent Conference time will be given tomorrow with signed papers.
