Welcome to Mrs. Arbogast's Third Grade Class
This is a great time of year! The kids have matured and are really independent workers. They continue to be motivated and eager to learn. I appreciate your continued support helping to keep the kids focused and working hard until the last day! Our end of the year party will be on Tuesday, June 2. This is a shortened day so we will celebrate with breakfast/brunch type treats. Mrs. Forster will contact parents with more information. Reading - Mystery Book Clubs were a huge success! We will venture into another set of books in the coming weeks. Your child will come home with reading set by their own group. It is important for them to keep up with their work to be part of the group discussions that follow. Math - We are workinjg on Chapter 21 (geometry) and then on to Chapter 27 and 28; fractions and decimals. Science - We are in Chapters 10 and 11; Matter. We will finish the year studying Life Science. Social Studies - We will continue to work on maps and use Time for Kids to keep up with current events. Writing - Ongoing work to write complete sentences and paragraphs using proper capitalization and punctuation. These skills need to be applied to written work in all subject areas. Thank-you for your continued support. Please see below for some important dates to remember.
