NOTE: Thank you to the students and parents that have been on IXL. We know our students will get lots of good practice on this program. We are practicing on IXL during computer time in our classroom also.
DATES TO REMEMBER: Monday October 10- No School Teacher Workday Tuesday OCTOBER 11 - WALK IT OUT- PARENTS MAY COME EXERCISE AND EAT LUNCH WITH YOUR CHILD. Please wear the HCC t-shirt you just bought or a black Wednesday October 12- Wear pink for cancer awareness. Friday October 14- Hat Day Bring $1.00 donation for cancer awareness. P.E. DAYS: Mrs. Dye and Mrs. Routman - Monday, Thursday, Friday
Please make sure your child has a change of clothes in his/her backpack in case he/she has an accident or gets wet on the playground. Please check your child's backpack and folder every day. Please remember to send an excuse the day after your child has been absent from school. You can download an excuse from the bottom of this school notes page. ILLNESS EXCUSE IS DUE IN WITHIN 24 HOURS OF ILLNESS. Please keep your child home if he/she is running fever. If your child rides in an automobile, please don't forget to drop him/her off at the front of the building in the mornings. Please do not drop him/her off before 7:30.
Please make sure your child is in the habit of washing his/her hands often. With all kinds of viruses going around, we want our children to practice good hygiene habits and to stay healthy. Ice cream and popcorn will be sold each Friday (unless someone has a birthday on a given Friday). When you send the popcorn/ice cream sheet back, you must make a selection and write the child's name on the sheet. Please make sure you send the sheet and money in a Ziplock bag. Some of the students are arriving with money in hand. They put the money on our desks; and we do not know who the money is for! Please do not send money for BOTH ice cream and popcorn. Choose ONLY one. Mrs. Dye and Mrs. Routman will send a form home on Wednesday for ice cream and popcorn choices. You should make your selection and return the form on Thursday. Mrs. Routman's class will choose from available selections on Friday. .........................................
