4B News and Notes—May 23, 2012

SPELLING-Spelling test—Friday—Unit 4 Vocabulary words

Next week’s test will be a review of words from the third trimester.

Pretest will be on Wednesday.

AUTOBIOGRAPHIES—We are completing our autobiographies. They have been typed up, and will be bound next week. This is a large project in writing. Thanks to our parents for their assistance.

***Each child needs  to bring in various photos for each age or copies if that is possible to be taped in. Please help to find at least a few to add to the keepsake booklet. We need these by June 4^th.

***Also I am asking each parent or set of parents to write a brief note or letter to be included to your child. It can be placed in an envelope. It can tell stories of their early days, and your hopes and dreams, or anything you wish!

Please send these in before the end of the year.

OUR PLAY—The dates are set for our environmental play, Good Green Earth. We will be having it upstairs in the   gym (6/4) and art (6/5)  rooms at 1:30 PM. The students will need play clothes as costumes. Parents, family, and friends are very welcome to attend! It runs about 30-40 minutes.

MATH—We are reviewing the math facts quite diligently. The students need to study the 6’s, 7’s, 8’s for a quiz tomorrow. I am giving less written homework to allow for this studying. Please help your child to know these by heart by drilling them when you can.

TEST--MAY 24--RELIGION—There will be a test on the first three of the TEN COMMANDMENTS tomorrow. The rest need to be learned by JUNE 11.

SOCIAL STUDIES--NEXT FRIDAY –test on notes on Roger Williams and RI facts.
