Supply List for Royal Wolves Team Classes

For Use in All Classes:

  1. 3-inch three ring binder (with D-rings if possible) for L.A., Sci. and S.S
  2. 3 to 5 dividers for binder
  3. 3-hole punched pencil pouch with zipper to go in binder
  4. 3-hole punched pocket folder for use as homework folder (plastic if possible)
  5. 10 sheet protectors for use in various classes
  6. Post-it Notes (3 X 3)
  7. Loose-leaf paper (wide ruled preferred)
  8. Pens (blue and black)
  9. Red Pen (for correcting work)
  10. #2 Pencils and erasers or mechanical pencils with spare lead
  11. Highlighter(s)
  12. Glue Stick(s)
  13. Colored Pencils (set of 8 colors or more)
  14. Book Covers (except language arts and science- textbooks will be kept at home) NO CONTACT PAPER TYPE PLEASE!

THE ITEMS LISTED BELOW ARE MATERIALS NEEDED FOR SPECIFIC SUBJECTS IN ADDITION TO THOSE NEEDED FOR ALL CLASSES

Language Arts: (Ms. Abbey)

  1. 3-hole punched pocket folder (plastic if possible) to go in binder listed above

  2. Composition book (no holes or spirals)

Math: (Ms. Stallings)

  1. One 1.5-2 inch three ring binder (will be collected for grading) 

  2. Two pocket folders with holes (plastic if possible) to go in binder

  3.  Graph paper (1 cm squares)

  4. Ruler and Calculator (for HOME USE)

Science: (Mrs. LaFayette)

  1. One 100-page spiral notebook (preferrably with 3 holes punched) for science learning log [WILL BE COLLECTED FOR GRADING]

Social Studies: (Mrs. Macsuga)

  1. One pocket folder with prongs (for Current Events)

 ***Binders- if your child has difficulty managing multiple binders, please contact us. We can work out an alternative solution.

v      Please check your child’s supplies periodically and replenish them as needed. You may wish to keep this supply list to refer back to during the year for that purpose.

Class lesson Plans and Homework 

Thursday, October 23, 2008   

  • Students checked their learning logs against the grading rubric in preparation for grading. See the Learning Log grading rubric in the attachments section for details.
  • We discussed Low Pressure storms: tropical storms, hurricanes, blizzards, and lake effect snows. Students completed note taker pages 19-20 during the lesson.
  • Then we began a discussion of thunder storms, which are associated with high pressure systems. Students took notes in their note taker booklet on pages 21-22. We will finish this discussion tomorrow. 

Homework: None unless you owe me work. There is a list posted in the classroom.
