Classroom Rules:

1. Always raise your hand to speak.
2. Always ask permission to leave your seat.
3. Follow directions the first time.
4. Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
5. Keep the teacher happy!

School Materials:

Students are expected to bring the following items to school everyday:

1. Binder Reminder
2. Binder/Folder with lined paper
3. 2 pencils
4. 2 Erasers
5. 1 Highlighter

Optional items include:

1. Sharpener
2. Ruler
3. Color Pencils/Crayons

Homework Policy:

Students will receive Full Credit for homework assignments submitted On Time.

Students will receive Half Credit for homework assignments submitted One Day Late.

Students will receive NO Credit for homework assignments Not submitted.

Option:

If homework is not complete on the day it is due, students can come in for snack and/or lunch on that day only to complete the assignment and submit to receive full credit.

***Note***

·         Assignments are On Time if turned in by 3:00pm on the day it is due.

·         5 or more missing assignments will result in a “U” in citizenship.

Tardy Policy:

*GOLDEN RULE*: You are tardy if you are not in your seat when the bell rings!

Without a written excuse, the following consequences will be implemented:

1^st Tardy = Detention: 5 minutes

2^nd Tardy = Detention: 10 minutes: Copy Wilson Middle School’s Tardy Policy located in

 Binder Reminder

3^rd Tardy = Entire Snack Detention: Copy Wilson Middle School’s Tardy Policy located in

 Binder Reminder

4^th Tardy = Contact Parents to notify a “U” in citizenship.

5^th Tardy = Office Referral

Teacher Helper:

On the first day of the week, Students will vote for 1 person to be the Teacher Helper for one week and 1 person to serve as a substitute in case the first student chosen is absent.

Teacher Helper responsibilities include:

1. Erasing the board
2. Turning on/off computers
3. Cleaning out pencil sharpener
4. Distribute/Collect assignments
5. Other tasks at teacher discretion

*Note:

1. Students can choose to decline the responsibility with no consequence.
2. Student may only serve as Teacher Helper once per quarter, unless there are no volunteers to serve.

Binder Reminder:

1. Students MUST bring their Binder Reminder to school everyday!
2. Binder Reminders will be checked at the beginning and end of class to ensure student responsibility.

Discipline:

Every student is expected to follow all school rules in and out of the classroom.

Classroom Consequences:

1st:             Verbal Warning/Name Written on the Board

2^nd:             5 Minute Snack Detention

3^rd:             Trash Pick Up (during Snack)

4^th:             Phone Call Home

5^th:             Office Referral

***All consequences are subject to teacher discretion.

Substitute Teachers:

Students are expected to maintain appropriate behavior with all substitute teachers.  Any student whose name is written down for a negative reason will receive the appropriate Classroom Consequence.

THIS RULE SHEET WILL BE RANDOMLY CHECKED BY EITHER THE TEACHER OR TEACHER ASSISTANT TO MAKE SURE IT IS KEPT IN THE STUDENT’S BINDER AS GIVEN IN THE SHEET PROTECTOR.  IT IS TO REMAIN IN THE STUDENT’S BINDER FOR AS LONG AS THE STUDENT IS IN MS. ABRAZADO’S CLASS! ANY STUDENT WHO IS CAUGHT WITHOUT IT WILL BE SUBJECT TO A CLASSROOM CONSEQUENCE AT TEACHER’S DISCRETION.
