What We’re Learning

ELA (English Language Arts)-   

Comprehension- Asking Questions, Using the Thesaurus                     Comprehension Test Friday

Vocabulary Words: nourish, farming, maintain         

Language- pronouns

Writing- Compare and contrast

Phonics/Spelling- contractions

Look in your child’s agenda for our list of words. We are studying the phonics sounds above. 

The test will consist of four words from the list they came up with and one unknown word that uses our phonics skill.  You can help your child by studying the words from the list and by discussing other words that use the same phonics sounds.                                                Test Friday

Spelling Homework:

Monday- Write words 3x (Add two new words to the list)

Tuesday- break each word apart (ex. can’t= can not)

Wednesday- ABC Order

Thur- Study for test

MATH- 2-digit subtraction with regrouping-                                     Quiz Friday                                                         

*** Our facts quiz will be this Thursday. Please continue studying your facts every night.
