This year is really soaring. Before you know it...it will be the end of second quarter. We have tackled several units in Science. We came to an understanding that there is more than one type of energy.  We use them all the time and didn't even know it.

We still have some stations to complete on sound and light that we didn't quite get to.  But we had to move on to energy transformations. We are learning that we all are dependent upon one another and need to take care of what we have..before it runs out and we can't get it back. Some resources are not abundant.  This in itself will be a year long concept. It seems as adults we have to be conscious of this as well.  There are so many labs waiting for us to dive into. I can't wait.

Parents...materials are greatly appreciated and needed to do labs. Students retain the concept longer if we perform and do the labs, rather than just hear about labs and take notes. Please ask your child about materials that can be donated.

Thanks to all who helped save 4.7 acres of the rainforest.!! Outstanding Work!!! I am looking forward to selling the shirts again in the spring.

Teaching is my love. I love to help students be all they can be in school to prepare them for life after graduation. To see a student smile and feel successful...is more of a reward to me than anything materialistic.
