WELCOME TO MY SCHOOL NOTES PAGE HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A GREAT SUMMER!!! Many parents have asked about summer activites. I have included a "Let's Talk" activity for each day on the summer month calendars. At the end of the school year you should have received a progress note with your child's goals listed. Just enjoy these short activities with your child and his or her siblings. Focus on and emphasize the goals from the progress note. If you child is working on sounds, point out the words with those sounds and practice those words together as they come up. If your child is working on vocabulary, make sure you explain and help your child experience in as many ways as possible the meanings of words that are new. If your child is working on listening skills, be sure you ask questions, give directions or have your child retell information whenever possible for practice. Be creative and have fun with these activities. The best way to improve speech is by talking with your child. I have also included websites that have many ideas and even free downloads for speech activities. Have a safe and fun summer :) !!!
