Ms. Ross' News November 16-20 *Spelling-There will be three different spelling groups this year. You will find your child's spelling list in his or her homework bag. Red Group: bake, cake, came, late, name, safe, game, made, chase, gave Blue Group: just, best, fast, lost, most, must, west, east, last, list Yellow Group: out, please, new, our, must *Reading- We will be using the Reading Milestones series. *Language- The letter of the week is M. Everyday we practice a handwriting page. We will begin to do daily edits together as a class on the board. We will start learning about describing words. *Writing- Everyday we write a journal entry starting with "Today is..." We then as a class write and edit sentences in our journals. We will also be doing different writing activities in our journal. *Math-Continue working on telling time. We will also start number patterns this week. * Graded work will go home on Friday in an green folder. Please sign and return with your child on Monday. *Homework bags are sent home on Mondays. They need to be returned by Thursday. *REMINDER* West Elementary food drive is November 16-20. We will be collecting non-perishable items all week!
