PLANNERS

All students have been given a planner to maintain for the school year. Planners are to be filled out daily in each class indicating the activity or assignment for that day. Additionally, the planners are utilized as students' hallpass. Students are not to be in the hallways without a planner indicating their destination, time of exit from the classroom, and the sending teacher. Students are to take planners with them to every class. Please encourage your child to bring the planners home each day so that you may review his/her progress in school and be aware of any upcoming events such as exams, reports, or special projects. Your support in helping your child to stay organized is greatly appreciated. Students who lose their planners will be required to pay a $10 fee for a replacement planner.

Honor Society is hosting two events/activities in order to help support the community.  A food drive is being held September 14th thru Sept. 25th.  Seventh hour classes are competing to see who can bring in the most items.  The winning class will get pizza & soda.  All donations will be given to the Elvins Food Pantry.

A Powder Puff game will be held on Friday, Sept. 25th as part of an effort to raise money for the American Cancer Society in conjunction with Mr. Roy Henson's challenge to area students.  For more information on Roy's challenge, you can check out www.dailyjournalonline.com

We thank you in advance for your support and donations for these two causes.
