Welcome to the Intervention Specialist Page,

What is an Intervention Specialist?  Rowan Salisbury Schools have provided schools with this position in all middle and high schools.  We have the same certification as a school social worker or school counselor and provide many of the same services.  Additionally, we assist with many students who are at high risk for dropping out of school, drug/alcohol/tobacco issues, pregnancy support, to name a few.

Knox Middle also has a few mental health companies that serve our students during the school day.  This can be especially helpful when transportation to a therapist is difficult.

If you are a student or parent with any of these additional issues and would like some further assistance please feel free to call me at Knox 704-633-2922 x 822 with any questions or concerns.  My office is in the 8th grade academy and I primarily deal with the 8th grade students but not exclusively.
