Writing Skills: Review: Word Choice, Main Idea and Details  

AT HOME:  Encourage your child to talk about their day.  Read with your child daily including monthly BOOK IT goals, and review vocabulary, high-frequency words, letters and word families. Send Guided Reading Books in their bags back to school EVERYDAY!

                               Math

We will begin to REVIEW and TEST for the second twelve week period – We will continue doing some 100th Day activities. 

AT HOME:  Remember to make a 100th Day t-shirt with your child.

                             Social Living 

  We will begin Unit 8 – Earth and Sky – We will learn about and discuss land, water and be introduced to a globe which serves as a model of the earth.

AT HOME: For extra practice, complete science activity pages 69 and 72.

Important Dates to Remember:

March 1st   – February BOOK IT goal sheets are due completed, signed and returned in order for your child to receive their Pizza Hut coupon.

February 7th – 100th DAY OF SCHOOL!  Students may wear their 100th Day t-shirts.

February 9th – Field Trip to the Children’s Museum from 10:00 – 12:30. If you signed up to be a chaperone, you can meet us at the school no later that 9:45am if you plan to follow us.  Remember that you will need to pay $3.00 at the door.  I will assign a group of students to you before we begin.
