Students and Parents,


     Welcome back to school.  There are many changes that we all will experience this year some of them will be challenging.  However, with every new challenge, growth and a sense of achievement are obtained.  I am looking forward to the challenges ahead of us. 

      8th grade ELA students, our focus will be on writing, writing, writing and a large amount of reading mixed in.  So hopefully you have kept up with reading over the summer and are ready to write about what you have seen, where you have been, what you have read, and what you did in general over the summer. 


      Family and Consumer Science students.  This year is your greatest challenge.  We will not be able to do very much cooking (no ovens), or cleaning (yea, on your part--right?)  This is due to the renovations taking place on the school campus.  Please be ready for an increased amount of book study, class discussions, and projects.   We will continue to collect the Campbell Soup label points.  In addition to these points we will be collecting Kool-aid jammer drink pouches, Capri Sun drink pouches, Lay's Potato Chip bags, Chips Ahoy bags, and Oreo bags.  These items are part of a recycling project I signed up for at the end of last year. More information will be given to you in class the first week of school.
