Inour theme, we will be learning the following:

Phonemic Awareness:  Phoneme Blending; Phoneme Addition andDeletion

Comprehension:  Monitor Understanding (review:  Infer)

Vocabulary Words:  year, aware, temperature

Fluency:  Stress words with special type treatment

Science:  Weather

Writing/Grammar

Writing Focus:  We will continue with what author’s writeabout:  Things They Do

Grammar Focus:  (none)

Math:

Thiswill be our last week of subtraction.  Wewill continue to have timed tests and practice sheets, but we will begin againwith Deep Math after the Thanksgiving Break. Please keep their flashcards at home and continue to practice.

Ifyour child has a part to read in the play, please practice every night!!

Thanksgiving Play:  Thursday, November 19^th.  Please have your childhere between 5:45 -  6:00.  The play will begin at 6:30.

Pleasesend in any decorations that we mayuse for the stage by Wednesday morning.

Pleasesend in memory bag items (boys:  candy corn; girls:  Teddy Grahams) by Wednesday morning.
