This Week WeWill Be Learning:

Fast Track Phonics:                                                                                                       

&       We will be reviewing the following sounds:  Review of Long Vowel I (i_e, -ie, -y)

Spelling:

&       NoMore Spelling!  We will continuallyreview sight words that are on our word-wall.

Reading/Social Living:(Theme: “All Kinds of Animals”)

&       Inour theme, we will be learning the following:

·  Phonics:  ch-, wh- digraphs

·  Phonemic Awareness:  Phoneme Segmentation/Blending

·  Comprehension:  Use Fix-Up Strategies:  Decoding Word Parts

·  Fluency:  Use Punctuation to Inform Meaning

Writing/Grammar

&  Writing Focus:  We will begin writing another 5-page book as timeallows…

&  Grammar Focus:  This week we will be learning thefollowing:  Commas in Dates, Commas in Place Names, & Words That Sound the Same

Math:

&  OurDeep Math activities this week include:  Proportional Reasoning 3 & Probability –Which is More/Less Likely.  We willalso take Quiz 21 this week.
