Library Day is TOMORROW!! (Wednesday, 12/10)
Please remind your child to bring their book back to school!
So that your child doesn't miss a chance to get a new library book, please remind them to keep their book in their backpack when it is not being read. This will ensure that it isn't left at home on a bookshelf, under a bed, in the dirty clothes hamper....

I have now added the ancillary classes to our December calendar above!
I have a feeling that most of you already know about our upcoming class holiday party.
It will be next Friday, December 19th at 1:30 in the afternoon. Elizabeth Singleton and
Esther Pastore are planning it. We would love to have you join us if you can!

Winnie-the-Pooh was LOTS of fun!!
(as you can see from our silly photo
with the actors after the show)

******************************************************
Please notice that I have added our ancillary classes to the November calendar above. Please remember to make sure your child is dressed in closed-toe shoes on P.E.days, and that they have their book in hand on Library days. Thank You!
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Thanks for all of the Winnie-the-Pooh money!
We're all ready for the visit!

What a feast!!
Only in a Roberts Elementary Kindergarten classroom
will you find pumpkin empanadas, pumpkin butter,
pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin soup,
pumpkin seeds, pumpkin milkshakes, pumpkin granola,
pumpkin pie, pumpkin dip, .......
(are you tired of pumpkins yet?) Yum!

Below are just a few pics of us
'scooping the goop'!

What a GREAT time we had planting our
radish seeds!
Thank you soooo much to Mrs. Wetzel and Mrs. Long
for a great day in the garden!

Mrs. Wetzel talked to us about the care of the
radish seeds, seedlings and plants.
We learned all about our Roberts Community Garden.

We loved weeding the garden!
Time to get the seeds...
and in they go!
We'll be waiting for four to five days before we see the sprouts. In 28 days, we should have some full grown radishes.
Then we'll harvest them and taste test! Yum!

Welcome to Ms. Warner's Kindergarten Class Website
This week will be an exciting one! We are going to begin our new IB Planner - Won't You Be My Neighbor? This planner will allow our students to focus on the concept of Community. The central idea is that 'jobs are essential for the well-being of a community'. This will be an inquiry into types of jobs, the needs of a community, and what work provides people.
One of the most important things we will be doing in our classroom is brainstorming ideas for necessary classroom jobs. We will also be learning about jobs in our neighborhood community. So, YES, if you'd like to come share about YOUR job, parents, we'd LOVE to have you! I'll send details soon!

Thank you for sending in white binders for our Writer's Workshop pieces.
