Week of June 8th, 2009
I cannot believe this school year is just about over. It has been such a pleasure to work with your child. We will spend the week wrapping up loose ends and finishing end-of-the-year assessments.
In math and language arts, we will finish the end-of-the-year assessments. During unit, the first graders will finish their mini-research reports on animals and present their findings. We will also try to fit in a class spelling bee this week. On Wednesday, the time capsule will be opened and the students will get the chance to see how much they've grown over the course of the year. We will also clean out our desks on Wednesday. Please be prepared for everything to come home!
Thank you all for making this such an enjoyable year. It was an honor to work with all of you to make this a successful first grade year for your child. I can't wait to hear about everyone's successes in the future! |
