Vocabulary:  Tues. --> Jewish, tenement, factory; Wed. --> synagogue, ignorant, Pilgrim, religious; Thurs. --> embroidered, aisle, modern, taunted

Story:    Molly's Pilgrim (this is a short novel that we will read together as a whole class; kids won't be able to take the books home since we're sharing with another 3rd grade class)

Comprehension Skill:  context clues (the kids will use clues in the sentence/paragraph to identify meaning of vocab. words)

Test:  Thurs., 11/19/09 (Scholastic News with a Read and Respond)

Test:  Fri., 11/20/09 (Molly's Pilgrim --> vocab. and story comprehension)
