Congratulations on the success of the ice cream sundae sale! We were able to raise over $400 for the Special Olympics!

Voting for the 2009-10 Student Council officers will take place at the beginning of the school year.

Mr. Alex Anderson will be joining Mrs. Morgan in running Student Council for next year. Mrs. Moreno is taking on a few other projects around the school.

***We are in need of water, pop, and snacks for the dance this Friday, May 22. Please send whatever you can to school with your child on Friday. You can also drop items off in the office. Thanks!

We're unable to reschedule the Cougars game - there are no available games during the day for the rest of the school year. The $12 was refunded to the 8th graders on Thursday, May 14, 2009.

If you would rather have a refund, please contact Mrs. Morgan. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Welcome to the Student Council information page! On here, you will find out what Student Council is currently working on and upcoming projects. Please bookmark this site at home so you have access to meeting dates, special activities, etc. In case you forget something (as we all do), you have this website to help you out!

The Student Council meeting dates will be posted on the calendar of this web page.

*****Please note--Meeting dates are subject to change. In the rare event that we have to cancel a meeting, students will be notified through the daily bulletin and the change will be updated here.

There are times that some committees would like extra time to work on projects before or after school. Those meetings are set up with either Mrs. Morgan or Mrs. Moreno ahead of time so that one of us will be there to help the students. These times will also be posted on the calendar.

Any upcoming events will appear in a small calendar on the page. If you want more specific information for a calendar event, just click on the date and a page will open up with the details.

CLARIFICATIONS

We would like to clarify a few items that were recently addressed. This section will be updated as needed. Please let us know if there is something you'd like to see included here.

1. If a student misses four meetings because 'I forgot' or just didn't feel like participating that day, he/she will be asked to leave Student Council. Members are NOT penalized for being out of school due to illness, a doctor's appointment, or a personal commitment causing them to be late or miss a meeting.

2. Student Council Executive Board and Full Council meetings will be posted here at least two months in advance. Students are also reminded of meetings via the school bulletin. Since responsibility is a big part of Student Council, all members should know the meeting dates.

3. Any member that serves an in-school suspension (ISS) or an out of school suspension (OSS) will immediately be removed from Student Council. If any other behavior issues come up, they will handled on an individual basis with the member.
