Welcome to third grade. I am very excited to begin such an important and special school year. Your child will be receiving two sacraments which will bring them even closer to God.

~Progress Reports were sent home today and should be returned to school by Thursday October 22, 2009. If you will be having a conference your time for Thursday will be sent home early next week.

~Our field trip is this Friday October 23, 2009. Please have all children dressed appropriately for whatever the weather may bring us. We are outside rain or shine! The students should NOT bring a lunch since one will be provided for them. Please make sure all students are on time. The bus will be leaving at 8:15.

~Mrs. Quinn will be our home room Mom. She will be calling everyone throughout the year to send in various things for different events.

~Don't forget the third grade would love to have parents, older family members, neighbors, or friends visit us to read or do an activity. Just contact me to set up a date.

~Third grade will have homework Monday-Thursday.  Please remember to sign both the homework and assignment book. 

~We have gym class on Tuesdays so please make sure your child wears their gym uniform every Tuesday.

~Please  check your child's homework on a daily basis. To help everyone make sure they have the correct assignments the class checks each others assignment books after we finish copying it from the board. As a class we review everything that is needed to complete their assignments before packing up. The class also checks their neighbor's homework pile before they are able to get their bags from the closet.I hope this will assist the students in being prepared to do their nightly assignments.


~Please remind your child to have three sharpened pencils, red pens, a hi-liter, and all books and homework packed the night before.
