~The students have received information about the first part of their biography report. Once the book has been read and the research information is complete the students will move on to the second part of their report. The students will be using both the computer lab and the classroom to finsh part two. The final step is our Wax Museum which is planned for late April or early May. The students will be receiving more information which will be sent home shortly. 

~We will be moving on to division in math class. Some students are having difficulty with this topic because they still do not know all their multiplication facts. In order for all students to be successful in both multiplication and division they MUST KNOW all their facts. It is VERY VERY important that the students study their facts EVERY NIGHT. We do drill all facts every day in school but they need the reinforcement at home too.

~We have started our Eucharist Book and the students are very excited. Each chapter has a portion I assign for homework which you and your child are to complete together.

~Please take time to have your child read to you every day for 20 minutes or more. This is so important for strengthening their reading skills.

~Even though we have moved away from money please have your child continue to practice counting money and giving you change from various amounts. Please review addition and subtraction facts daily.

~Don't forget the third grade would love to have parents, older family members, neighbors, or friends visit us to read or do an activity. Just contact me to set up a date.

~Third grade will have homework Monday-Thursday.  Please remember to sign both the homework and assignment book. 

~Please  check your child's homework on a daily basis. To help everyone make sure they have the correct assignments the class checks each others assignment books after we finish copying it from the board. As a class we review everything that is needed to complete their assignments before packing up. The class also checks their neighbor's homework pile before they are able to get their bags from the closet.I hope this will assist the students in being prepared to do their nightly assignments.

~Please remind your child to have three sharpened pencils, red pens, a hi-liter, index cards along with the box, and all books and homework packed the night before.

~Please have your child review the words in their boxes daily. 

~Please remind your child when they are answering questions for homework they should be written neatly in complete sentences using the question in their answer.

~Please send in more tissues. Many of the students have had colds throughout this very long winter, and as a result  we have run out of our supplies.
