Dea rParents and/ or Guardians:
All students in room 11 English Language Arts have been assigned a California Mission to write about as well asto make a model or other representation of their mission. He/she has selected the mission in class and is working with a partner on this project. The report and model are due Wednesday, March 14th. A rough draft of the report only is due Wednesday, February 29. The report must be cursive or typed on the computer. The model, drawing or other representation must be completed by the student and is to be no larger than will easily fit on a student desk. In class,we have studied note taking. They shoulduse this tool in helping them take notes about their mission in order toproduce the final product. Students will be given class time to work on their reports. We will also use our Treeview Library. However, they may need to go to the public library to gather additional materials and information. The internet is also a very viable option for this report. They are to use at least 2 different sources of information. They need to have their rough drafts proofread by a parent or an adult, who can assist them in correcting their punctuation, capitalization, and spelling. The Rough Draft is due on February 29th.
