Oral Language Word Identification Vocabulary Comprehension Fluency Writing Homework: Please encourage your child to read every chance he or she gets- even if it's just part of a newspaper article at the breakfast table, and turn off the TV when you do it.Your child will bring books to read and share with family members. One of the most effective ways to help your child improve his/her reading is for you and your child to read together.Daily homework assignments are given to students . Please encourage them to read each night.  The steps of math "U-N-R-A-A-V-E-L" are: U Underline the question N Now predict what you think you need to do to solve the problem. R Read the word problem. A Are the important words circled? A Apply the step(s) you choose to solve the problem. V Verify your answer. (Ask yourself: Does it make sense. E Eliminate wrong answers L Let the answer stay OR rework the problem.
