Welcome to Mrs. Gioeli's 3rd Grade Class
2010-2011 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Parents, Below you will find a list of expectations and consequences that your child should follow each and ever day they are in school. Your child helped make these rules for our classroom so please review with your child daily. Thank you Expectations: 1. Follow directions the first time they are given 2. Come to class with all materials 3. Solve problems peacefully 4. Treat others as you wish to be treated 5. Raise your hand, and wait for permission to speak or get out of your seat. 6. Work well with others 7. Stay on task 8. Keep hands, feet, and all other objects to yourself. Consequences: If a student is not following one of the expectations, their clip will be moved down to 6 points. If it continues through out the day, their clip will be moved to 4, 2, or 0 points. On the reverse side, if they are doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing, following directions and expectations, their clip can be moved up. The most points they can earn in a day is 14 points. If your child does get on 6 points this does not mean they cannot move back up to 8 points. At the end of the day, I will record their points in their agenda so that you can review. If they have received anything below 8, I will notify you of why they received lower points. If you have any questions, please feel free to send a note or call the school. 2nd Quarter ActivitiesMath

Activities you can do at home with your child... 1. Read every night--ask questions while they read. 2. Practice Math facts: Addition and Subtraction flash cards are a great way for kids to memorize their facts. 3. Help with homework as much as possible. Students are asked to complete 1 math and 1 reading assignment each night. Please make sure that your child is doing their homework and turning in the next day. This is vital in their preparation for the EOG. If you ever need me for anything, please do not hesitate to call the school! (704) 216-0273 |
