My name is Jennifer Salyers.  I want to welcome you to a new school year!  I would like to tell you a little about myself.  This will be my 19th year teaching 2nd grade at Margaret Beeks Elementary.  I graduated from Christiansburg High School in 1987 and Radford University in 1991.  I student taught at Beeks and loved it so much that I stuck around!  :)   live in Christiansburg with my husband, Kevin, and my two daughters, Emily and Sydney.  Both of my girls attend Beeks.  I have a firt and fourth grader.  I am proud to be both a Beeks teacher and a Beeks parent!

I am looking forward to meeting each of my new students and their parents.  The beginning of the year is a time for us to get to know one another and to build trusting relationships. 

Meet the Teacher Night is Thursday, August 26 from 4:30-7:00 pm.  Feel free to bring your child's supplies in that night.  (If you need a list of supplies, please see the school website.)

School starts Monday, August 30th.  Children may enter the building at 8:30 am.  The bell rings to begin school at 8:50 am.
