WE LOVE SECOND GRADE!!! Mrs. Lambert and Mrs. Cross We have had a wonderful start to the year! Spelling Words: all, ball, call, cannot, did, him, over, path, see, wall, tall, them, yes Math: We will begin the year with addition and subtraction! We do not have our class books yet so we are doing much of our work on paper and the Promethean Board. The students are doing so well! I am very proud of them! They are working hard on the word problems! Language Arts We are starting a new Phonics program called Letterland. This is where your child's spelling words will come from. Letterland is going well! Study those spelling words! This week my reading class is reading Dragon Gets By. Health Second Grade will continue a partnership this year with the YMCA and the hospital to work on health and fitness. This will be called Fit For Motion. This will be on Wednesday afternoons and the students will need to wear tennis shoes every Wednesday once it begins!  Science Next week we will begin a unit on life cycles and Butterflies! Social Studies We have been learning about each other and our families.
