This month we will be focusing on AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL WRITING/PERSONAL NARRATIVES!
Activities:
Students will complete textbook search about autobiographical writing in bistro position (groups!)
Students will fill out personal survey to get ideas for introductory paragraph.
Students will choose one special event from their summer vacations for the body of their personal narratives.
Students will examine the rubric.
Students will start the five stages of writing.
Journal: Entry #1 is out! How was last year for you?
These entries are in 5 by 5 format and students will be writing about their feelings about English Language Arts last year and their goals for the new year. **ALL THREE ENTRIES ARE DUE AT THE END OF THE QUARTER!
Homework:
Daily assignments (Monday-Thursday)
Study for your spelling tests!
Work on your journals!
Always read your chapter book!
