Food for Thought

Enon Baptist Church will sponsor the Food for Thought Program at Woodleaf Elementary.  This program will provide week-end food for children in need.  Selected children will take a backpack stocked full of food home every weekend to help meet their nutritional needs.  Thank you to all who are contributing to the Food for Thought Program.  Your generous gifts are appreciated.

Bus Safety

It is the responsibility of every student and parent to help maintain safety on our school buses during daily transport.  Please stress the bus safety rules.

-Hands and feet to oneself

-No loud talking--

-Face the front at all times

-Stay in your seat with no hands, heads or feet in the aisle

-Book bags on your laps

Riding the bus is a priviledge, not a right. Students not following the bus rules will be asked to find other transportation to school.

101 Students attend Math Night at Food Lion.

A fun and exciting night was experienced at our local Food Lion at Marketplace on Highway 70.  Working with Food Lion manager Heather Broadway, our students and teachers came together to have fun applying our math skills in a real world environment.  Over 300 participants enjoyed cake, sandwiches, fruit and vegetable snacks.  Thank you Food Lion and parents for supporting this wonderful opportunity for our children.

Safety Patrol Established

The Fifth Grade Discipline Team has voted to establish a safety patrol to help direct students during morning and afternoon transitions.  Look for students in the bright green vests to help with directions and traffic control.  Fifth grade students will rotate with these duties monthly.  Safety Patrol stations will be located on stairwells, hallways, bathroom entrances and at the bus port entrances.  We thank the fifth grade students for volunteering their time and service.
