Then we will have literacy centers Tuesday-Thursday that will contain skills on reading, writing, and critical thinking that go along with the story. Friday we will reread the story from the basal and take a reading comprehension test.

Writing: We have writer's workshop everyday for one hour. We will be working on writing small personal narratives.

Social Studies: We have a new book this year! It is our textbook and our workbook combined. We have started Unit 4 (Geography).

4. Treat everyone with respect
5. Always walk in the classroom and hallways

Behavior Plan:
Every child has a magnetic strip with his/her assigned number on it. Their magnet is placed on the bottom of a stop light every morning. If they stay on green that is great, yellow is a warning, and red a letter will be sent home and they will report to the office for the remainder of the day.
At the end of the week, we have family meeting where we discuss our week's behavior and go to the treasure box. If you stayed on green the whole week you get to go to the treasure box and get anything you want. If you moved only once you get a pencil and eraser. If you moved more than that you get nothing for that week.
