The Food Project
Dear parents,
Students will be working on a project starting next week. Students are expected to choose a traditional plate from their origin country. They will write a script in class mentioning:
The name of the plate and its origin
The ingredients
How is it related to the food pyramid (is it from the meat, milk, bread, vegetable or fat group?
Is it rich in carbohydrates, proteins, iron, sugar, fat, or calcium?
Is the plate healthy or not healthy? Why or why not?
Students will bring their traditional plate and present their project in class on International Day, Wed., Dec. 16.
