*What are we learning?*
Writing: Our main focus is on expository writing. Our ongoing goal is also to make our writing more descriptive and detailed.
Reading: Reader's Workshop will focus on reading strategies and written responses to their reading.
Math: Math will focus on geometry and measurement, algebraic reasoning, working with data, and strand 25 word problems. Students should continue to work on their math facts!
Science: Units will focus on light and sound waves, the moon, the five senses, and technology. Students will continually work on the scientific method.
Social Studies: Units will focus on Early Civilization and the American Revolution.
*Homework*
Students are given time at the end of the day to fill out their assignment books with the homework given for that night.
Reading: Students are expected to read at least 30 minutes each night and complete their log.
Math: Assignments are given each night to reinforce lessons from that day or to practice skills they have already acquired.
