Students are reading from the Corrective Reading series to work on their phonics, word attack skills, fluency, and comprehension. The classes sometime read short stories for additional work on fluency and comprehension. The classes are writing stories about their favorite things in the spring. They have been working on using capitals and punctuation at the correct places in their sentences. They are focusing on writing with good sequence of ideas. Math students are solving multiplication facts. They are focused on adding and subtracting with regrouping. Some have worked on fractions. The math students are focusing on word problems to be ready for the EOGs.  |
