ADVANCED GEOMETRY

Week of April 26,2010

During this week each class will meet 4 times do to testing.  Listed below are the lessons for the 4 days.

DAY 1-

Objective-     The students will learn to find arc lengths and area of segments.

The teacher will provide examples of the above topic.

Assignment- Worksheet 10-6 and 10-7 which will be worked on in class.

DAY 2 -

Objectives-     The students will learn to find the lateral surface area of polyhedrons.

Assignment-   EOC review sheet- part one.

DAY 3-

Objectives-     The students will learn to find the volume of prisms, cylinders, and cones.

Assignment -      EOC Review Sheet - Part Two.

DAY 4-

Objective-     The students will complete their EOC Review Sheets - Part Three.

GEOMETRY (2nd, 5th, 6th Period)

Objective-     The students will learn to evaluate polynomials.

The teacher will provide examples of the above objectives.

Assignment-  Worksheet 13-4.

DAY 2-

Objective-     The students will learn to add and subract polynomials.

Assignment-    Worksheet 13-5.

DAY 3-

Objective-     The students will learn to multiply a polynomial by a monomial.

Assignment-     Exercises (2-28 Evens ) Page 720 and Exercises (1-20) Page 725.

DAY 4-

Objective-     The students will learn to multiply two binomials.

Assignment-     Practice Worksheets 13-6 and 13-7.
