Teaching as a Profession: Mon, Wed, and Fri: Continue with off-campus teaching.
Tues, Thurs: Review and discuss case study about the different child (teaching a child with TBI). Also, guest speaker on Thursday: Heather Osborn will speak about the field of School Counseling.

Personal Fitness: We will be running the one mile on Tuesday for our pre-test results. Please wear appropriate shoes!! We are also testing our flexibility with the sit and reach test. Remember to drink fluids and get plenty of rest so that you can actively participate with us!




March 3-March 7

Teaching as a Profession: Off-campus teaching on Mon, Wed, and Fri. Take initiative and ask your teachers how you can help them. Remember to be on time!
Tues and Thurs: Continue working on Unit Projects. These are due on March 6! Remember this is a major project grade.

Health: Last week of Health. We will start Personal Fitness on Monday, March 9. We will discuss STD's this week. Articles will be due this Friday.



February 25-February 29

Teaching as a Profession: Mon,Wed, Fri: Off campus teaching. Please be on time and stay the required time.
Tues, Thurs: Work on Unit Projects, Education Article Summaries

Health: Finish Chapter 6: Relationships. Complete Dating WS. Start Chapter 7.



February 11-February 15

Teaching as a Profession:

Mon., Wed., and Fri.,: Off-campus teaching. Speak with cooperating teachers about Junior Achievement lesson plans.

Tues., and Thurs.: Watch video of different styles of teaching. Answer questions about video. Begin chapter presentation from book.

Health: Take test on Stress. Begin Chapter 4: Mental Disorders.




February 4-February 8

Teaching as a Profession:

Mon., Wed., and Friday: Off-campus teaching
Tues., and Thursday: Interview with teachers presentations. Begin chapter presentations.

Health: Take ADAP test. Begin chapter on Stress. Guest speaker to talk about stress on Monday.

Teaching as a Profession: Tuesday and Thursday: Finish class presentations on teacher interviews.
Monday, Wed., and Friday: Off-campus teaching

Health: Begin Alcohol and Drug Awareness Program. Watch ADAP video and complete activities in ADAP workbook. Bring article on Friday!



January 22-January 25

Teaching as a Profession:

Tuesday and Thursday: Discussion on "How Effective Schools are Run" Students will design a "perfect school" with a partner. Students will present their lesson plan and teach their objective to the class.

Monday, Wed, and Fri: Off-campus teaching

Health: Finish Chapter 2. Worksheet on Personality and Expressing Emotions. Discuss the theories of Freud, Erikson, and Maslow. Articles are due every Friday.



January 14-January 18

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: Discuss "No Child Left Behind Act", Reasons for choosing teaching as a profession, and what are the advantages and disadvantages of singel-sex classrooms.
