Social Studies for April 2011 Students have now entered South America in Social Studies. The students will be learning about South America's land, regions, and culture. We have several exciting activities planned as we head into Spring. Your child will also be preparing for the E.O.G.'s during Social Studies class. Currently students are working on a web quest exploring South America's land, and culture. They are creating travel brochures, slide show presentations, and imovies! We also have a new promethean board in our classroom!! Thank you Rowan- Salisbury Schools! Students are excited and engaged! Social Studies for November 2010 Students are currently learning about Ancient Greece and Rome in Social Studies. Due to only having a class set of books it has been difficult sending home homework in this subject area, however we are doing a lot of work in class! We are currently on Ch 3 in our Social Studies text. Below you will find a link that allows you to access the book online! Here, students can print off class work, read from the online book, and view images of our countries. HOW TO LOG IN... Student login: studentc Student password: monarchs Social Studies Update for October 2010 Students are currently learning about the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. In class we are using the lap tops and different technology available to explore these topics. This week and next students will working on web quests that are preparing us for our Renaissance field trip, next Thursday October 14, 2010. This is an all day event. Please make sure to hand in your students trip money and slip by Monday, October 11, 2010. We are currently in Chapter 4 in our Social Studies text.
