      Accelerated 8th Grade Language Arts

Read "The Story-Teller" on pages 576-581.  Answer questions 1-6 on page 581.  The questions are due: Thursday, January 7 (Periods 2,4,8) and Friday, January 8 (Periods 1,3,5,7).

Present activity based on "The Story-Teller" in class on Monday, January 11 (Periods 2,4,8) and Tuesday, January 12 (Periods 1,3,5,7).  Students will be given a pop-quiz to determine their comprehension of the story in class.

Vocabulary Test #23: Test will be on Wednesday, January 13 (Periods 2,4,8) and Thursday, January 14 (Periods 1,3,5,7). 

Begin writing the class essay on "Ideal Learning Environment."  The writing mode is expository.  The first paragraph with the thesis statement is due for critique on Wednesday/Thursday (1/13-14).
