  ****All students should practice their multiplication tables!

SPELLING

        ** the students will not be using their spelling books and have weekly spelling tests.  The new reading series includes spelling and phonics.  The spelling test will coincide with the stories and probably will not be each week. 

  Monday  2/6   new spelling words   silent letters - worksheet started in class

  Tuesday  2/7   on looseleaf  - write 7 sentences using the silent letters

Tuesday -  1/31  read about the Pacific west states & begin learning their location and capital

Wednesday -2/1  Mr. Douglas  comes in for "JA" - Junior Achievement

Thursday -  2/1 Mr. Dombrowski  and study skills

Friday  2/3 continue reading about the Pacific west states   - next week 50 capital test and 50 map test!

Science

Monday 1/30   finish reading lesson 3

Tuesday   1/31  review page 254-255  in notebook  correct in class, lesson 3 worksheet for homework

Wednesday 2/1  Jeopardy game on rocks & minerals using the mimio as a review

Thursday  2/2  another review game in preparation for tomorrow's test

RELIGION

REMINDER

1.  Gala invitations sent home today (Jan.30)

2.  4th grade is collecting items for the "Road Trip" -information was sent home asking for donations to add to the basket.  Check your child's backpack for that letter!

3.In the event of  a 2 hour delay some of the above lessons might get moved to another day.

4.  If your child tends to get chilled he/she should have a uniform sweater to put on instead of wearing their heavy winter coat in the classroom
