Communication Systems

This course will provide the students with the opportunity to acquire skills in the area of communication.  Emphasis is placed on the understanding of how to manipulate within a variety of software programs.  Students will also become familiar with careers that are associated with the field of communication.  This course focuses on problems solving and decision-making processes throughout the completion of projects.

Text: A variety of texts, handouts and tutorials will be

                   utilized throughout the semester.

Grading:

1.     Class Participation 30%

2.     Homework 5%

3.     Projects 50%

4.     Tests/Quizzes 10%

5.     Final Portfolio 5%

Note: Class attendance is critical. Unexcused absences and tardiness will be made up after school at the teacher’s discretion.
